Grassroots Voices
The Journal of Peasant Studies publishes Grassroots Voices – views that are written and presented in a non-academic style which provide important insights and information relevant to critical rural development studies. Grassroots Voices are intended to share wisdom and analysis direct from social movements, practitioners, and scholar-activists.
Agrarian Classics Review Series
We asked leading scholars to review classics in Critical Agrarian Studies in terms of their continued contribution to the field. From E.P. Thompson to Utsa Patnaik and Eric Wolf, Agrarian Classics brings foundational books to a new generation of scholar activists.
Bharadwaj-Wolf Award Winners
The Bharadwaj-Wolf Prize is awarded biennially for an outstanding paper published in the Journal of Peasant Studies by a young scholar - one who has held a Ph.D. degree for no more than four years. The prize commemorates two long-standing and distinguished members of the JPS Editorial Advisory Board: the political economist Krishna Bharadwaj (1935–1992) and Eric Wolf (1923–1999).
